Here are some of the highlights from our vacation in Yosemite National Park. Being from Southern California, we are used to sandals, jeans, and possibly a sweatshirt during the winter. But this year, we gathered up our boots, snow pants, and puffy jackets into four big cars, and took full advantage of the winter we rarely get to experience. With good friends, lots of food, and not a single schedule to follow, it was a relaxing and much-needed vacation. 

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take outfit of the day photos because it was too cold to wear anything but snow gear. But now that I'm back in SoCal, OOTD posts will be up soon!

On a Whim

Welcome to Polka Dots and Purses! I decided to start my first official blog after a beautifully breathtaking vacation in Yosemite National Park this past weekend. The freshly fallen snow, family and friends laughing together, and the chance to finally wear winter clothing (I’m from SoCal!) reminded me of the things that truly make me happy.
